Nathaniel D. Busch, CPA
Shareholder, Principal
Nathaniel “Nate” Busch is a 2007 summa cum laude graduate of the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University. Since 2005, Nate has been working in the field of tax accounting, specifically in the field of small business and real estate taxation.
Throughout his career, Nate has experience working in a variety of accounting firms. His experience working for a Fortune 500 company has given him insight into tax strategies used by the largest taxpayers in the nation. While working several years for a tax attorney, he obtained a fundamental understanding of case law, an attribute few CPA’s share. His experience in a regional accounting firm allowed him to acquire the skills necessary to service a client on a multitude of financial fronts.
In addition to administering a tax firm, Nate’s business interests also extend heavily to real estate. In an effort to better understand a large portion of his clientele, Nate began investing in real estate almost a decade ago. To date, Nate owns several units and partnerships within the Columbus area.
Outside of the office, Nate enjoys spending his time raising his six children aside his loving wife, Tiffany. Since 2008, Nate has also dedicated his time mentoring youth within the New Albany community as a football coach for the New Albany High School Eagles.
Ryan Bayer
Staff Accountant & Payroll Manager
Ryan is a 2017 graduate of the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University with a degree in Accounting. Previously, Ryan has worked as an intern with regional and international accounting firms in the field of tax for the past two years.
Through his work experience and education Ryan has developed and continues to develop the skills necessary to service clients with tax preparation, payroll, and other financial needs.
Our clients rely heavily on Ryan for their payroll, tax preparation, sales tax, and QuickBooks needs.
Michael L Rex, CPA
Tax Manager
Mike is a Tax Manager for Busch Tax Company. Since joining the firm in 2019, Mike has been involved in assisting our clients with tax preparation, compliance matters, and a broad range of accounting services.
Prior to joining Busch Tax Company, Mike was with Abercrombie & Fitch in its international tax group where his responsibilities included tax compliance and accounting for income taxes.
Mike received a BSBA in Finance from the Ohio State University in 2007 and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Christian D McDermott
Staff Accountant
Christian is a 2019 graduate of The University of Dayton with a degree in Accounting. Christian previously interned with us in 2017 as a bookkeeper.
Christian joined our firm in 2019 and helps our clients with bookkeeping and account management.
Jake Chobany
Staff Accountant
Jake is a 2021 graduate of the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University with a degree in Finance. Jake previously interned with us in 2018 & 2019 as a bookkeeper. Jake then worked for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service for the US Department of Defense as an Accountant before rejoining our firm in 2021.
Jake helps our clients with bookkeeping, account management, and is the office Notary Public for the State of Ohio.
Austin Torr
Staff Accountant
Austin is a 2020 magna cum laude graduate of Otterbein University with a degree in Accounting, as well as a 2021 graduate of Otterbein University with a Master’s degree in Business Administration. After playing collegiate football, Austin worked as an intern/staff accountant with regional and local accounting firms in the field of tax and audit for the past two years.
Austin joined our firm in 2021 and helps our clients with tax preparation, payroll, bookkeeping and various other administrative needs.
Outside of the office, Austin enjoys dedicating his time to the Gahanna community as a football coach for Gahanna Lincoln High-School.
Andrea Eaton
Andrea is our Compliance Director, assisting clients with tax return fulfillment and monitoring firm operations. With over 18 years in the tax industry, Andrea has worked with clients of various backgrounds and industries.
Prior to joining Busch Tax Company, Andrea has managed various firms within Central Ohio.
In her free time, Andrea travels in support of her daughter’s club volleyball team and enjoys watching her son play football.
